The Redmi 12 (4G) is an affordable smartphone and successor to the Redmi 10, powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core chipset and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU (graphics processing unit). Internally, the phone comes with 4GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM coupled with 128GB to 256GB eMMC 5.1 flash storage. Furthermore, it supports up to 1TB of storage expansion via a microSD card slot.
The phone boasts a 6.79-inch IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz AdaptiveSync display refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, FHD+ (1080 x 2460) resolution, ~396 ppi pixel density, and 20:9 aspect ratio. The front display adopts a punch-hole design and the screen is protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass.
When it comes to the camera, the phone sports an 8-megapixels on the front, a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixels (f/1.8) main shooter, 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens. It is capable of recording videos at up to 1080p@30fps in full-HD resolution on both the front and rear cameras.
Powering the Redmi 12 is a large 5000mAh non-removable battery with an 18W fast charging rate. Additionally, the phone also features an IR blaster, 1217 loud speaker, Extended RAM, IP53 splash (water, dust resistance), Face unlock, FM Radio, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Out of the box, it runs on the Android 13-based MIUI 14 user interface.

The official price of the Redmi 12 in the Philippines starts at ₱7,999.00 for the (8GB + 128GB) variant and ₱8,999.00 for the (8GB + 1256GB) variant.
