Xiaomi’s Redmi 9 is a budget smartphone from Redmi branding that runs on a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core chipset with a clocked speed of 2.0GHz Cortex-A75 and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The phone comes with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM paired with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card.
It has a 6.53 inches IPS LCD panel with 60Hz standard refresh rate, 400 nits typical brightness, ~395 ppi density, resolution of (1080 x 2340) FHD+ and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The front display is a water-drop notch “Dot Drop” design and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 scratch protection.
It has a 5-megapixels (f/2.0) aperture selfie lens, a quad rear camera with a 13-megapixels main shooter, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. The camera can record up to 1080p@30fps video resolution on both front and back.
For the battery, it has a huge 5020mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with 18W fast charging support. Other key feature includes VoLTE, Eye protection, NFC (market dependent), IR port, face unlock, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, FM Radio, and dual-band Wi-Fi. Lastly, the phone runs on Android 10 based on MIUI 11 operating system.
