Xiaomi‘s Redmi Note 9S was introduced with the “Power to Win” tagline, a budget mid-range smartphone that runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor along with Adreno 618 mobile graphics processing unit. The phone has 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB to 128GB UFS 2.1 flash storage. It has up to 512GB expandable storage capacity via a dedicated microSD card.
For the display, it has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel, FHD+ (1080 x 2340) resolution, 450 nits typical brightness, ~395-pixel density, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The front display is a punch-hole (DotDisplay) design located at the center top and a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Talking about photography, the phone sports a 16-megapixels selfie lens, a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixels (Samsung S5KGM1 sensor) main shooter, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. For videography, the rear camera can record up to 4K video and 1080p@30fps on the front.
The phone packs a high capacity 5020mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging. In addition, the phone features VoLTE, IR Blaster, FM Radio, Face unlock, Z-axis linear vibration motor, and a TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification. The phone runs on the Android 10-based MUI 11 OS out of the box.
