If you happen to encounter lagging on your device within the month after you purchase the Nord Ce 2 Lite 5G then this is one of the reasons to update your phone system. Also, an issue regarding the setting of wallpaper is being fixed on this update. The previous Android security patch was June 2022 and with this update, they included the latest August patch which is very important if you care about the security of your phone’s data. A fixed particularly on switching the Wi-Fi network is also addressed to make it more stable.
Please note that updating the system will not delete or modify your phone data but OnePlus recommended backing up all your data before you start the update process. You also need to make sure you have enough battery power (80-100%) charge when updating to avoid data corruption and interruption during the update.
You also need to have a stable Wi-Fi or internet connection to fully download the update package to your phone. If you haven’t received the notification update on your phone you can check and download it by going to Settings > About device and then check updates. Here’s the storage information before and after updating to this version.
The “Other” and “Apps” file sizes are reduced after the update maybe because the temporary downloaded file is saved prior to updating.
