Realme launched its first tablet the realme Pad last year in the Philippines. They also launched the Realme Pad mini recently as a follow-up to the success of the first one. Now, the company is planning to launch a new tablet that features 5G with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 flagship-level processor, as per Digital Chat Station. (source)
Based on the online rumor and leaked info’s, the upcoming Realme Pad 5G will feature a 2.5K with 120Hz high refresh rate (LTPS) LCD screen with a massive battery of 8360mAh and will also come with stylus support. Other details like the camera and launch date are not mentioned.
The tipster also said that the upcoming tablet will feature two Snapdragon 8 series processors. The other one could be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, which is not official yet. We’ll just wait and see if more details will come out soon.
By reviewing the initial specs, the details seem to match with the OPPO Pad that was introduced in February in China which is priced at CNY2,299 (around ₱17,000 to 18,000) for the 6GB/128GB, while the 8GB/256GB top-tier variant has a price of CNY2,999 (around ₱23,000 to 24,000 in the Philippines).
Hopefully, this will reach out to global markets apart from China to compete with other brands like Xiaomi and Samsung who already have success with their tablets in global markets.
