The Honor X8a is a budget-friendly smartphone with an “eXtra Elegance, eXtra Power” tagline. It runs on a gaming-centric Mediatek Helio G88 octa-core processor and a Mali-G52 MC2 mobile GPU. For the memory configuration, it has 6GB to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM paired with 128GB ROM. The phone does not support external storage expansion.
It has the same 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen and a high 90Hz refresh rate as its predecessor the Honor X8. The display is an FHD+ (1080 x 2388) resolution, with ~391 ppi pixel density, and a 19.9:9 aspect ratio. In terms of design, it has a punch-hole display with a slim frame and a TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.
For the camera system, it has a 16-megapixels selfie lens, a triple rear camera setup with a 100-megapixels main shooter, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. As for videography, the phone can record up to 1080p@30fps video resolution.
As for the battery life, it has a 4500mAh non-removable battery with support for 22.5W Honor Supercharge fast charging. Other feature includes an Eye Care display, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, face unlocking, App lock, Google apps, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. For the software, the phone runs on an Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 out of the box.
