The Honor X8 is a mid-range smartphone that focuses on design and camera aspects with the slogan of “eXtra Elegance, eXtra Vision”. It runs on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G octa-core processor with a maximum clock rate of 2.4GHz and an Adreno 610 mobile graphics processing unit. For the memory, it has a 6GB LPDDR4X RAM paired with 128GB uFS 2.2 flash storage. Unlike the X7, there is no option for expandable storage on this model.
It has a large 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel with a high 90Hz refresh rate, an FHD+ (1080 x 2388) resolution, ~391 ppi pixel density, and a 19.9:9 aspect ratio. The design is now upgraded to a punch-hole display with a 7.45mm slim body and TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.
For photography, it has a 16-megapixels selfie lens, a quad rear camera setup with a 64-megapixels main shooter, a 5MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. Despite the higher megapixels, the front and rear cameras can only record a video with 1080p@30fps resolution.
The phone sports a 4000mAh non-removable battery with the support for 22.5W Honor Supercharge fast charging. Other specification includes a RAM Turbo, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Face unlocking, App lock, gesture navigation, Google apps, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on an Android 11-based Magic UI 4.2 operating system out of the box.
