The Redmi Note 9 is introduced as a “48MP Quad Camera Hotshot”, a budget smartphone that runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor along with Mali-G52 MC2 mobile GPU. The phone has 3GB/4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB to 128GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage. It has expandable storage of up to 512GB to give enough space for more files and other contents.
For the display, it has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, FHD+ (1080 x 2340) resolution, 400 nits brightness, ~395-pixel density, and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The front display is a punch-hole (DotDisplay) design and a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Talking about photography, the phone sports a 13-megapixels selfie lens, a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixels (Samsung S5KGM1 sensor) main shooter, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. For the videography, both sides can record up to 1080p@30fps video resolution.
The phone packs a high capacity 5020mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging. In addition, the phone features IR Blaster, FM Radio, NFC (market dependent), and a TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification. As for the software, the phone operates on the Android 10-based MUI 11 mobile operating system.
