The TCL 20 R 5G is a budget 5G smartphone that runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor with a max clock rate of 2.2GHz and a Mali-G57 MC2 mobile GPU. In terms of internal configuration, you get 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB to 128GB UFS 2.1 flash storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a hybrid card slot.
The phone has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD panel with a self-adjusting 90Hz high refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and an HD+ (720 x 1600) screen resolution. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 500 nits peak brightness, and a ~269 ppi pixel density in a water-drop notch or V-notch display.
For photography, it has an 8-megapixels selfie lens, a triple rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel main shooter, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Both sides can record up to 1080p video resolution with features like slow motion, stop motion, light trace, pro mode, and more.
Powering the phone is a 5000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with 10W (5V2A) default charging. The TCL 20 R 5G also offers NFC connectivity, a dual-mode 5G, a loudspeaker, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. In addition, the phone runs on TCL UI based on Android-11 out of the box.
