The Oppo A98 5G is an upcoming mid-range smartphone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 octa-core processor, coupled with an Adreno 619 mobile GPU. Regarding its memory specifications, it has a single 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM paired with 256GB UFS 2.2 flash storage. Additionally, it offers expandable storage support of up to 1TB through a dedicated microSD card slot.
The phone features a 6.72-inches LTPS LCD panel boasting a silky smooth 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, FHD+ (1080 x 2400) screen resolution, 680 nits (max) brightness, and a 100% DCI-P3. It has a center punch-hole display and is protected with a Panda 1681 scratch-resistant glass.
For photography, it has a 32-megapixel selfie lens, a triple rear camera setup with a 64 MP (OmniVision OV64B camera sensor) main shooter, a 2MP microlens, and a 2MP for mono. For videography, it can record up to 1080p video resolution on both front and back cameras.
It packs a 5000mAh non-removable battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging support. The Oppo A98 5G also includes up to 8GB RAM Expansion, dual stereo speakers, NFC, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. In terms of software, the phone runs on ColorOS version 13.1 on top of Android 13 out of the box. Lastly, it comes in 3 colors – Cool Black, Dreamy Blue, and Bold Gold.
